
About Gerald J. Dunworth
Mr. Dunworth practices in the area of taxation. He has had extensive experience advising foreign clients on their inbound US tax matters as well as negotiating audits by the Internal Revenue Service. He also heads the Firm's wills, Private Client department. He provides tax planning advice for individuals, corporations, trusts and estates, small businesses, nonresident aliens and charitable organizations. Mr. Dunworth is experienced in designing and implementing estate plans to ensure the proper disposition of property while minimizing transfer taxes. He also advises executors and trustees on the administration of Private Client and represents fiduciaries in litigation of contested matters. Mr. Dunworth also has experience in corporate, real estate and commercial law matters.
Mr. Dunworth is a frequent lecturer on tax planning for international executives. Mr. Dunworth also represents clients in controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and state and local taxing authorities including negotiating offers in compromise of unpaid tax obligations.
Mr. Dunworth graduated from Niagara University and Fordham University School of Law. He received a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University School of Law and is admitted to both the New York and New Jersey bars. Prior to attending law school Mr. Dunworth served as an officer in the United States Army.
